Robert’s work

The good news is that the Translator’s Notes on Mark, which Robert helped to edit, format, and check, is off to the printers. Robert continues to edit the Translator’s Notes on Revelation. Currently, he is on chapter 15.

Philippines Ministry Trip

In February, Verna had the opportunity to be the staff counselor for the Asia Translation Consultants’ Development Workshop in Bagabag, Philippines. There were around 15 staff members and 35 workshop participants from more than a dozen countries. She lectured on Interpersonal and Communication Skills and helped people process their results from personality testing.

Family News

This winter, Verna’s family made the painful decision that it was time for Verna’s mother to move into a retirement home. Verna flew to Nova Scotia to help her sister clean out mom’s apartment - sort through and sell her belongings. Now Verna’s mother is happily settled in the Maplewood Manor in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Invitation to India

During the workshop, the staff members from India were so impressed with Verna’s presentations that they invited her to travel to India next year to share this material with their organizations. Please pray that the Lord will provide funds and work out the details to make this happen.

Thank you

At the Translation Consultants’ Development Workshop, it was humbling and awesome to see translators from around the world using the exegetical materials that Robert has so faithfully been working on the last 13 years, including his published book, The Exegetical Summary of Galatians; and to see the Checklists software still being used that Verna wrote many years ago.

Our Heavenly Father is faithful to use us for His Glory and to take care of us. He uses you to bless us. We pray God will bless you as you bless us. If you would like to receive our occasional email updates, please send an email to verna_stutzman@sil.org . Please send your prayer requests as well; we spend our Saturday nights praying for you.
