Robert Receiving Certificate of Achievemnet

Since Robert has been working in Galatians for the last four years, it seemed only natural for him to take on another project in Galatians. He has begun editing Translator’s Notes on Galatians: helps on understanding and translating Paul’s letter to the Galatians. The purpose of the Translator’s Notes series is to provide translation assistance in simplified English for ‘mother tongue’ translators.

Verna’s work

In June, Verna attended the Wycliffe Counselors’ Conference in Waxhaw, North Carolina. She found it beneficial to meet many of the counselors who serve missionaries around the world.

She also completed the Wycliffe Counselor Development Orientation Course. The remaining credential she is working toward is full licensure in the state of Texas. This requires completion of 3000 hours of counseling and to date she has around 1300 hours.

Verna takes great delight when counseling new missionary applicants results in their being ready to head to the field. Some of her clients are missionaries on furlough – burned out from stressful field situations. It is such a joy to see them healed and ready to go back and take up the challenge once again!
